Multiple Best in Field (MBIF)

The only prefix title unofficially recognized by NOFCA, this title is awarded when a dog earns more than one Best in Field (BIF) award. Due to large entry counts, it is an extremely difficult award to earn. There is no title certificate or plaque awarded. Dogs that earn MBIF are considered  important breeding prospects, especially in breed where hunting instinct is dying out.

Coursing Champion (CC)

This suffix title is automatically awarded to dogs who fulfill the requirements of achieving all of the below:

  • 100 Championship Points in Breed Stakes

  • At least one first place or two second placements. May come from any breed stake.

  • One unassisted take (UK) or two assisted takes (AK). May come from any breed stake.

  • 10 Championship Points earned in Mixed Stake.

Courser of Merit (CM)

This suffix title is automatically awarded to dogs who fulfill the requirements of achieving all of the below:

  • 100 Championship Points in Mixed Stake.

  • At least one first place or two second placements. May come from any mixed stake.

  • Take Value of three or higher. Assisted takes count as half a take. May come from breed or mixed and mix/match freely.

Cumulative Point Plaques

Each dog must work hard to earn these titles at the 500 and 1000 point value points. Both extra points and all championship points count towards this title. Plaques like so are awarded to dogs earning the 500 point marks (ie 500, 1000, 1500, 2000). They are a suffix award and should go at the end of the name, after both CC, CM, and GCW.

The Darius Trophy is awarded to any Saluki earning the 1000 award. This trophy is passed to the any 1000 competitor next year.
Created breed clubs may commission and donate perpetual trophies to be passed on for various awards each year.

Grand Course Winner (GCW)

This title will be available only to the Best in Field hound at any year of Grand Course. The suffix goes after CC, CM, and any cumulative point awards when listed on a dog's name. Since we have not held a Grand Course in several years this award is currently very rare.
